Clefthaven
Farms is the first dairy project that
we feature and their farm is proudly included
on our home page. The
Fried Family presented
our Corporate family an opportunity to help them put
together a display of leading edge technology for their
new 120 cow robotic milking facility. Faromor has
developed various products and product combinations to provide
integrated solutions for the Clefthaven
Farms operations. |

a partnership of Orville and Ruth Fried with their four sons: Kevin, Bradley,
Brian & Darrell

Cow milked at two facilities: 188 milked in a DeLaval all-exit
double12 milking parlor. 88 milked by two DeLaval VMS milking
robots.

Bradley & Darrell manage the
herd milked with the DeLaval all-exit double12 milking
parlor. Brian and Kevin manage the herd milked with the
DeLaval VMS milking robots. |

Crops grown include: corn, barley,
wheat, soybeans and alfalfa for feed; some of acreage is
used for cash cropping. |

Fieldwork responsibilities are
divided evenly among all partners. |

|
All partners gather every morning
for a meeting to discuss business items as well as any
plans/objectives/priorities for the day, an exercise valued
for years. |

|
3 generations of the Fried Family
active in plowing competitions at the County, Provincial,
National and World levels. Brian and Darrell have represented
Canada at the World Plowing Championships, 7 and 3 times
respectively. |
|
|
| |
|
In 2002 the Fried's received the
Oxford County Agricultural Award of Excellence for Farm
Family of the Year 2002. |
