Warm moist air must
be exhausted from the dairy barn. This is effectively
accomplished by using the buoyancy of warmer air to rise
and exit at the highest point - usually the ridge.
Faromor tried
open ridges and mechanical ridge designs on Tie
Stalls in
the earlier years. Although they worked the ability to
stop downdrafts and to keep out the elements was a challenge.
The adaptation of the Faromor
Chimney eliminated these
associated problems and made it the product of choice
to control the ridge exhaust.
